Sorry to bring down the high a little bit folks, but I just want to warn everyone to be wary of clicking on any links other members might have provided. I know 80% of you here already and know you would never link to any bad sites, but I just had to ban/delete two accounts that were designed for the sole purpose of ferrying spyware. If you notice anything remotely suspicious like that, please don't hesitate to send me a PM & I'll sort it out
Over & out. _________________

It's depressing when they try to hit small communities like this one! _________________ See a penny, pick it up, all day you'll have a penny! |

I completely understand Jen, I've been dealing with them for a very long time and sadly these bots are programed to sign up to any forum nether the less how big or new it is. If I may, I'd like to add a few things about adbots.
Clicking links provided by the adbots or replying to them might encourage other bots to advertise on the forum.
Some websites may not contain virus/spyware/trojens but they might contain adult content which may not be sutible for some people here.
Don't click anything you find in their profiles as most of the time it'll be the same link the person/bot has been advertising.
As Jen has pointed out, if you do see someone advertising an iffy website please contact Jen as soon as possible, if you wish you can contact me and I'll pass the message.
Thanks for your time folks, please remember to play safe =D. Remember, spam belongs in between two pieces of buttered bread, not on a internet forum. _________________

Well said, Astra
And just to update you on the situation, I've added a security question which seems (touch wood) to have stemmed the flow of bots trying to get into the forum. Which means if you introduce someone to the forum, remind them to answer the security question upon registration and in lowercase.
Likewise, if you know someone who has accidentally been blocked or rejected, tell them to e-mail me and I'll put it right _________________
