...if you did indeed have a time machine?"
(swiped the question from Kita Cloud. Flora Andrews said it deserved its own thread, so I provided. See orignial posts here: http://www.themuseacademy.com/prievillage/viewtopic.php?t=70&start=15)
I'd go to the future and become a belter (miner of the asteroids). The past is cool, don't get me wrong, but the future is totally new. _________________ A few electrons short of a stable octet. |

Aw mann.. too many to decide on just one!
First off, Ancient Egypt, then medieval England, I would probably stay in England and move to the Elizabethan period, the Victorian and finish off with a trip to the 70's and 80's (Ahaha, TRIP to the 70's, I'm sooo funny(!)) _________________ See a penny, pick it up, all day you'll have a penny! |

I probably shouldn't be trusted with on, either, but we can pretend. No one thing you want to see?

I know it's hard! medieval England? I'd be too afraid of disease... I like the Victorian era, though, that's cool. Oh, we're trippin' now, eh? The 80's would be cool as well.

I don't know, I like Mozart but I think he's not nearly as cool as Beethoven, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, or, well, most any romantic composer. I just think that, while Mozart is indeed a genius, he's a tad overrated. Sinatra, though, swanky choice.

Another 50s! That's about the end of America's coolness in history (by which I mean that my history class starts to bore me until the 80's. With the exception of the space race). _________________ A few electrons short of a stable octet. |

My original answer was always the renaissance period. I've been interested in it for years, but as I have learned more about the aspects of life that they don't mention in the story books, it has become less enticing. (Think hygiene and disease.)
I'd probably do well in 1950s America, when being a squeaky-clean girl was still acceptable, and you weren't a prude because you don't dress or act a certain way.
It would also be cool to see an ancient empire, like the Aztecs or the Khmer. (Khmer empire was based in Cambodia in the 8th century, and I've walked through the ruins.) I realize that I wouldn't like many of their practices, but seeing an area that is so cold and dead now filled with life would be phenomenal.
I don't have one consummate answer, probably because my curiosity and interest in the world are so high. I'll work to figure out an answer by the time that Teela finishes building my time machine. (I believe that she is accepting preorders, but the price is rather steep.) _________________

Marvelous time choices, really. The Renaissance has lost some of its glamor, mostly due to what's been mentioned (hygiene and disease). Another vote for 1950s! Maybe I should do a tour or have a group rate...
Ancient empires... do vikings count as an empire? Because I'm reading "The Sagas of Icelanders" and dang I want to visit. Yes, seeing things revitalized would be incredibly interesting.
I just forced myself to pick, honestly. The future's got a siren song that beats out the past.
Pre-orders? I gotta build another one? Where will I find the time? Teela is suddenly cartoonily bricked out of nowhere. _________________ A few electrons short of a stable octet. |

I'd go to the future, unless it sucked then I'm content with staying here. _________________

I'd say the 20's.
I liked the fashion back then.
I want a zoot suit. _________________
